Mark Acierno received his DVM from Mississippi State University. After a 1-year rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, he completed an internal medicine residency at Tufts University. He was a professor at LSU for twelve years. He is currently a professor at Midwestern University School of Veterinary Medicine, an internal medicine specialist and a member of the Society of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology. His research interests include hypertension, kidney disease and renal replacement therapies.
