DESCRIPTION:Dr. Kyle Malter earned a degree in Animal Science and a Doctor 
 of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri. After grad
 uation\, Kyle worked in an equine and small animal clinic in North Caroli
 na for one year before transferring to Iowa. He practiced in a small anim
 al hospital in Des Moines for three years and then in a mixed-animal prac
 tice for two years.  In 2010 Kyle joined Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica\,
  Inc. as a Technical Services Veterinarian and later moved to pet marketi
 ng to work with vaccines and  pharmaceuticals for companion animals.  W
 hile at BIVI\, Kyle studied at the University of Iowa\, earning a Master o
 f Public Health degree in 2015. He is also board-certified in the America
 n College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine.  In 2017 Kyle joined Elanc
 o Animal Health as a technical consultant for companion animal vaccines. 
 Kyle\, his wife\, Cortney and two children live in Smithville\, Missouri.
 \n\nDr. Todd Kollasch is originally from north-central Iowa. After complet
 ing undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa in Iowa City in 1994\,
  he attended Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames\
 , IA and obtained his DVM degree in 1998\, graduating with honors.  Dr. 
 Kollasch was engaged in small animal clinical practice in Pittsburgh\, PA 
 and the surrounding area from 1998-2000. In 2000 he relocated to Memphis\,
  TN and continued private small animal practice and emergency medicine in 
 the University of Memphis area from 2000-2010.  In 2010\, Dr. Kollasch t
 ransitioned to industry as a Technical Consultant with Elanco Animal Healt
 h. He currently holds the position of Regional Consulting Veterinarian for
  Key Accounts – North\, with a secondary role in conducting post-approva
 l studies in the U.S. Additionally\, Dr. Kollasch has served on the Elanco
  Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) since 2016.  Dr. To
 dd Kollasch is a frequent lecturer on heartworm disease\, parasite control
 \, pain management\, otitis externa\, atopic dermatitis\, infectious disea
 se\, and vaccinology.\n\nDrs. Malter and Kollasch will be discussing a var
 iety of immunology issues\, including vaccinology\, immunology\, zoonotic 
 disease and public health\, Lyme disease\, tick biology\, and Leptospiros
 is.
